Saur Group closes deal for acquisition of Natural Systems Utilities

The Saur Group has today  announced the closing, through Nijhuis Saur Industries (NSI), the Industrial Water arm of Saur, of the acquisition of Natural Systems Utilities (NSU), a leading provider of turnkey water treatment and reuse solutions in the United States.

NSU is a national leader in distributed water reclamation and reuse innovation, currently operating over 270 systems across the United States, including the largest base of onsite reuse and natural treatment systems.

As cities face an increasing urban population, decentralized water reuse emerges as a crucial stride toward ensuring access to water and sanitation. In a growing market driven by the need for water quality, this acquisition represents an opportunity to facilitate the evolution of water consumption from a finite resource to a sustainable one.

The combination of NSI and NSU, both prominent players in the water sector, will accelerate the introduction of new technologies and innovative approaches to the commercial and residential buildings markets in the Americas and Europe. The acquisition leverages the strengths of two industry leaders with highly complementary expertise, fostering new synergies that are ideally positioned to support the commercial and residential buildings markets.

The company will continue to be led by Zach Gallagher, President & COO of NSU and Bill Massa, CEO of NSU.

The completion of the acquisition has been approved by the relevant regulatory authorities and the integration of NSU into Industrial Water Solutions division of Saur Group has successfully kicked-off.

Saur is a pure player in water and essential services with a worldwide presence across Cyprus, Finland, France, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, United-Kingdom and United States of America.

With €1.9 billion in Group net revenue, 9,500 local authorities and industrial clients contracted, Saur employs approximately 12,000 employees.
