Today sees the start of the first virtual edition of the Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) and Dubai Solar Show in the United Arab Emirates.
The 3D exhibition, which is the first of its kind in the Middle East and North Africa, runs until Wednesday, 28 October with 1,076 companies participating from 52 countries around the world.
Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) organises the exhibition in line with the directives of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of DEWA.
HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, Founder and Chairman of WETEX and Dubai Solar Show commented:
“Thanks to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, WETEX and Dubai Solar Show has become prominent as specialised exhibitions globally. This year’s virtual 3D exhibition will attract many global visitors to review the latest products, services, and innovative solutions in the water, energy, sustainability, and innovation sectors; as well as take part in the virtual seminars that will discuss important topics in sustainability and renewable and clean energy, among others.”

Their teams can meet decision-makers, investors, buyers and interested parties from around the world to make deals, build partnerships, review the latest technologies, learn about current and future projects and market needs, and explore opportunities to take part in solar power projects and programmes in the region.
