Binnies awarded over S$28 million PUB tender for Choa Chu Kang Waterworks reconstruction

Binnies Singapore, an RSK Group company, has today announced that it has been selected by PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, to provide detailed design and construction supervision of the reconstruction of Choa Chu Kang Waterworks (CCKWW).

The S$28.8 million Professional Engineering Services contract which commenced on 15 June 2021 will be completed in 2026.

The reconstruction works will transform CCKWW into a state-of-the-art drinking water treatment plant with the latest water treatment technologies and smart features to allow full automation with minimum operator interventions.

“The Choa Chu Kang Waterworks Reconstruction project will provide PUB with a blueprint for future water plants that adopt advanced digital technology in its operations and maintenance and Binnies Singapore is proud to be able to partner PUB in yet another ground-breaking initiative that will change the landscape for the water industry locally and beyond into the Asia region.”, said William Yong, Managing Director for Binnies Singapore.

The announcement of the award comes as Binnies Singapore and many other industry veterans gear up to two weeks of activities at the upcoming Singapore International Water Week 2021 (SIWW 2021).
