Everbright Water secures two waste water treatment projects in Shandong Province

In Shandong Province ,Chinese   environmental   protection company, Everbright Water Limited, has recently procured  two WWT projects; Ji’nan Tangye New Area Waste Water Treatment PPP(Public Private Partnership) project (“Tangye New Area Project”) – an investment  of about RMB313  million and Zibo Northern Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project (“Zibo Northern Expansion Project”) – an investment of roughly RMB83 million. The total investment in these projects is approximately RMB 396 million.

Everbright Water holds a 99.9% stake in the project company which will be invested in, constructed and operated by a project company jointly established and led by Everbright Water based on a PPP model, with a concession period of 30 years (construction period inclusive).

A semi-underground wastewater treatment structure will be implemented for the project (Tangye New Area Project). The basic responsibility of the WWT structure will be to supply wastewater treatment services to the Tangye New Area in the Licheng District of Ji’nan City .The total daily wastewater treatment capacity of the project is 45,000 m (phase 1  25,000 m3 and phase 11 20,000m3 ).

Everbright Water’s other investment of RMB83 million in the Zibo Northern Waste Water Treatment Plant Expansion Project is an agreement with the Management Committee of Shandong Zibo Economic Development Zone. The project is based on a BOT (Build-Operate-Transfer) model and is also for a concession period of 30 years. The daily waste capacity of this treatment plant is 20,000 m3.

The discharged water for both projects will comply with the Discharge Standard of Pollutants for Municipal Wastewater Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002) (National Grade 1A standard), while some of the discharge indicators will be superior to this standard.
